Glenveagh National park and Castle is one of the must seeing in Donegal.  The Donegal Gaeltacht or the Inishowen Peninsula are only a leisurely drive from where we are.

Glenveagh is a designated Special Area of Conservation and Special Protection Area under EU and Irish Law.

Sliabh Liag Sea Cliffs

 

Sliabh Liag Sea Cliffs is one of the most beautiful spot in the Wild Atlantic Way

 Sliabh Liag is Ireland’s ultimate sea cliff experience and a signature point on the Wild Atlantic Way coastal touring route.

This cliffs are said to be the highest and one of the finest marine cliffs in the whole of Europe, and with a six hundred metre drop down into the Wild Atlantic Way waves below they create a breathtaking, spectacular view. or a relaxing walk along the many beautiful beaches on the Fanad Peninsula and sheephaven Bay are all a must see.

Fanad Head 

 

 

The lighthouse was designed by one of the foremost civil engineers of the time, George Halpin and first lit on 17th March 1817. Its fixed light showed red to sea and white towards the Lough, and could be seen for fourteen miles (22 kilometres) in clear weather.

Fanad Head light house has been voted one of the most beautiful light house in the world.
